What are the problems YOU face while studying:
1) Study is so boring. I find it hard to concentrate.
2) I am not able to understand what is written in the books.
3) I can’t remember what I have just read.
4) While preparing for exams, I am never able to finish the syllabus in time and never able to revise properly.
5) Before exams, I feel very nervous. I forget everything and loose all confidence.
How “Mission For Excellence” will Make it Simple for you :
Let us read above points again and think a bit about them as explained below for each of the above stated problem.
1) Tell me one thing. Do you get bored when u read a story book or watch cartoon serial…. No…. why?
If you think a bit, you will find that you don’t feel bored, rather you are engrossed in that thing ( eg. Story book or cartoon) when :
a) Language is simple ( do u remember 3 IDIOTS…. ‘Aasaan Bhashaa mein’)
b) Things are logically connected
c) you are curious to know what is coming next or you are able to predict what will come next and you are eager to verify it by reading further.
We have just these small things in mind when we teach you.
2) Some times students find difficulty in reading books because they don’t have ‘proper framework’ in mind. What does this framework mean? Suppose you have come to Greater Noida for the first time, and you are just driven around the city in a car, without telling you anything about the city. Will you be able to remember your way? Is it your fault that you can’t remember?
Now suppose you are shown a map of the city and get introduced to the framework of the city eg. There are two roads connecting Noida to Greater Noida. One enters at Pari chowk and another at Jagat Farm. There are sectors Alpha, Beta, Gamma 1st and 2nd lying parallel to each other, each sector surrounded by roads from four sides.
Now with this knowledge when you are passing through the city even for the first time, whatever you are observing will be stored in your memory in a proper framework, which was missing earlier.
In your study it is the role of a teacher to introduce you to the proper framework of the chapter in the book. When you get this framework, reading book will be an interesting job for you. Our lectures are designed to help you get the proper framework in a very simple language. We have introduced many innovative ways to help you in this regard.
3) Week memory is not a problem. It is the symptom of problems somewhere else. The root problems are discussed in the above two points. Moreover during the course, we will tell you many psychological techniques to help you memorize formulae, reactions, structures etc.
Apart from this, the healthy competitive atmosphere in the class will stimulate your mind in such a way that when a thing is discussed in the class, you will remember it forever. Our innovative presentation of subject matter, the well organized notes will help you further and make your task easier & simpler.
4) Finishing the syllabus well ahead of exams and revising it at least 2 -3 times is the most important part of preparation of any exam. We have structured the course in such a manner that we’ll finish the course at least 4 months before exam. Moreover with the help of tests and doubt removal sessions till the exam, we’ll keep in touch and monitor the exam preparation of our students. Even after course is finished, we are always available to help students till the day of the exam.
5) If you feel Nervous, stressed before exam, then you are absolutely normal. In fact moderate stress helps you increase your efficiency and memory power.
Now let us talk about the level of stress and nervousness that is bad for you. Why such stress arises that you even forget easy things. There are many small factors, when one leading to another and all the factors pile up and you feel a kind of Nervous Breakdown right before the exam. Let us see how does one factor lead to another…
a) teacher has not presented concepts clearly and logically, student have not grasped the concepts, but have just mugged up. This haphazard manner of rot memory is very much susceptible to getting erased under exam stress.
b) Lack of revision and problem practicing, so students are low on confidence. Confidence is directly related to your level of understanding and practice of exam like questions.
c) Due to high stress building up, student is not able to study things in a relaxed manner, not able to connect things logically. So after finishing one chapter when he moves to another chapter, he finds that he is not able to recall anything from the previous chapter.. this leading to cycle of piling up of stress. He is not able to finish syllabus at fast pace.
d) Finally on the exam day the student realizes that he has not been able to cover many important things and whatever he has finished, he is not able to recall. His whole world crumbles.
Given any amount of preparation, if student is able to get relaxed and avoid committing silly mistakes, I can assure that one can increase his score by more than 25%.
At “Mission For Excellence” we will help you in the following manner….
A) Before starting a new chapter, a reading assignment sheet will be provided. Which will guide students page by page to read the chapter from NCERT in a very interesting and insightful manner.
B) Daily in the beginning of lecture we’ll hold a small 15 min test. Which will ensure that all the students keep revising their class notes and printed notes. It will contain very simple direct questions like basic definitions, formula etc. All the students would be able to score 100% marks in this test very easily.
C) Fortnightly tests in real Board Exam like environment. It will generate healthy competition among students. This will motivate students to put in even more than 100% of their effort and make the whole process of study more enjoyable and full of fun.
D) The answer sheets of this test will help us know each student’s need in a better way and we’ll try help each student according to his specific needs.
E) After the test, the paper will be solved in the class, and we’ll provide the model solution to each question.
F) During normal lectures also we’ll solve a lot of examples. Rather than just giving solution, our emphasis will be to givea proper structured way to solve any problem. It will enable each student to tackle even a new unseen problem in the exam.
G) The Lectures and Notes are designed to reduce effort on the part of the students and help them enhance their understanding of the subject.
“Remember, the success of our students are as important for us as it is to them.”
Getting good marks in CBSE 12th Board.
12th board exam is the most important stage in the academic life of any student in India. Good score in this exam in many cases ensures admission in good course or college. There is an element of prestige attached to it too : any student getting 90%+ marks in 12 th board automatically becomes the darling of his/her entire family – all of a sudden people start speaking good and respectful words for him. But, on the other hand, getting very high marks in board exams in India (at least in CBSE board exam!) is honestly not very tough these days. Following are few of the general advices that I would like to give to any one desirous of getting good marks in Physics and Maths in CBSE board exams:
Give utmost importance to your NCERT books. In maths exam, usually nothings comes from outside NCERT book. So for your board exam preparation just solve all the SOLVED and EXERCISE problems of NCERT again and again for practice. Remember that you do not have to leave any thing inside the NCERT maths book. Solve all the Miscellaneous solved and unsolved questions too. Solve the Sample Papers available on CBSE website. If you gain the capability of solving any problem contained in the NCERT book without any trouble then I assure you that you can even get 100 marks in Maths.
For Physics, again NCERT book is very important. *Read all concepts of every chapter in full detail from NCERT.*Make a list of all the DERIVATIONS in each chapter.*Write the proofs of these DERIVATIONS in your note book. While writting the proofs follow the style in which you normally answer a question in exam (i.e. no need to write the proofs verbatim as given in the book.) *Make a comprehensive list of all the important formulae of the syllabus. Revise them regularly.*Do all the NUMERICAL type questions present in NCERT physics book (both solved and unsolved ! ).*Make a list of important graphs present in your text book. *You must know all the Definitions and S.I. units of all the physical quantities dealt in the syllabus. * practice ‘previous year questions’ from each chapter from the book “Together with Physics” or ”U-Like Sample Paper in Physics”. *Solve the Sample Paper available on CBSE website.*Do the revision of all the above works again and again. You will then be able to solve the entire PHYSICS paper without any problem and getting65+ (out of 70) score will not be difficult for you in Physics.
How to answer a Test Paper ?
- Scan the test paper: Giving an exam is just like being in a fight! You first need to scan the size, nature & character of your opponent; before you get down to the task of socking him in the eye! 5 minutes scanning the question paper will help you chalk out a strategy as on how to answer the questions, which ones to go for first, etc.
Trust me, 5 minutes spent earlier on will help you save a lot of time later.
- Start with the easy stuff first: When you are playing video games, do you straightaway get to the stage of slaying dragons? No? Similarly, it is always a good idea to go after the easy questions first & then tackle the harder questions. Easy questions will help get your brain going, improve your focus & bring out your natural flow.
- Learn to move on & comeback: Cannot remember what (a+b+c)* is? Well then, big deal!! Move on to the next question. Keep your cool, you know this, it’s just that you cannot remember it. You can always comeback to that question later when you have time left. If you spend time sweating it out on ONE question, you’ll miss out on the rest! Remember, your flow is important to keep the momentum going.
- Allotting time to questions: Judge the worth of a question & answer accordingly. You should spend less time on a question worth 2 marks & more time on a question worth 10 marks. You do not want to come out of the examination hall & figure out that you left out half of the higher marks fetching questions because you spent too much time on the rest!
- The “keep it clean & keep it simple” mantra: A handwriting, which resembles worms let loose on the answer sheet, will NOT win you the examiner’s friendship. Nor will it fetch you marks. Write in a legible handwriting with a presentable & logical hand. Also, read each & every question carefully no matter how simple or tough it is, only then proceed to answer.
- Revise: It is always a good idea to revise whatever you put down in that answer sheet. Do not be tempted to leave in case you finish early. Now is the time to go back to the questions you missed out on. You’ll be surprised to see how many marks you have salvaged out of small silly mistakes.
Just follow the tips & above all- believe in your self. You will surely come out with flying colors.

How to cope with Board and IIT exam together :
A proper curriculum can reduce the work pressure of a student & get him a very high score in CBSE & high/respectable rank in IIT-JEE/AIEEE etc.
Content of the subject of CBSE BOARD & IIT-JEE Syllabus is same. The difference is only in the pattern of questions.
While CBSE Board/School Exams have their questions based upon:
- Definitions/Basic principles/ Laws.
- Logical questions based upon the basic principles & requiring high analytical ability.
- Direct numerical based upon the basic principles.
- Classical derivations.
- Applications based derivations
IIT-JEE/AIEEE Exams have their questions based upon:
- Objective question based upon the basic principles/fundamental as laws/definitions.
- Objective numericals based upon the basic principles/ fundamentals laws/definitions.
- Indirect objective questions based upon multiple concepts & applications involving high thinking capacity & analytical ability.
- Objective question based upon the steps of classical derivations.
- Objective question based upon the steps of applications based derivations
The proper methodology to deal with the difference in the pattern of questions is:
- As we say “Necessity is the Mother Of Invention”, discussion of the development of the subject matter through the daily life problems is required so the law / definitions appears to be necessity to explain it logically.
- Coverage of Basic principles/ Definitions & Fundamental Laws.
- Logical applications of the Basic principles in day-to-day life to generate high thinking capacity.
- Effect of change in variables/conditions on the usual results predicted by the basic principles/laws.
- Extension of the definitions (a) to generate classical derivations (b)to generate logi cal/applications based derivations.
- The coverage of complicated applications based upon multiple concepts requiring high analytical ability.
